Free tax clinic returns to Omemee

Note: Due to a glitch some of the dates in my last column were incorrect. The information below is the corrected version.

The Happy Wanderers Free Tax Clinic is returning to Trinity United Church, Omemee, March 12, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tax returns will be completed at no cost for singles with an income of $40,000 and under or couples, $55,000.

Bring any tax papers and identification with you.

The Centex gas station just east of Omemee will be open 24/7. Although I am not in the habit of needing fuel at 2 a.m. it is good to know there is somewhere close by that can fulfil that need if it were to arise.

There are many activities planned for March at the Omemee Legion.

Karaoke with Redneck Rick, March 13 and 27, 7 to 11 p.m., $5 per person.

Chair dance yoga, March 9 and 30, 6:30 p.m. and Wednesdays at 11:30 a.m.

Dance to Harley and the Howlers, March 14, 7 to 11 p.m.

St. Patrick’s Music with Still Picking Country Band, March 17, 1 to 5 p.m., $5.

KC Carter will entertain March 20, 7 to 11 p.m.

The Omemee Swans Baking Bingo takes place March 15, 1 to 3:30 p.m.

Euchre tournament will see the cards flying March 22, starts at 1 p.m.

A Meat Roll will be held March 28, noon to 3 p.m.

The Omemee Seniors Group is open to anyone 50 years or older. Annual memberships are only $15. For information call Lynda at 705-799-6493.

The group meets the fourth Tuesday each month for a meal and entertainment. Senior exercise classes are held every Tuesday and Thursday beginning at 10 a.m. at the legion.
