At one time the saviour for the Toronto Maple Leafs was supposed to be former Stanley Cup winner, and two time Olympic gold medal winning coach Mike Babcock. After Babcock’s termination, it was up and comer Sheldon Keefe. When Keefe was relieved of his duties, MLSE (Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment) appointed another former Stanley Cup winning coach, Craig Berube to guide the Leafs to glory.
While lifelong Leafs fans, such as myself have become well versed in dealing with yearly playoff failures, the 2025-26 version of the Leafs may spare fans the misery of another early playoff exit. Fans may not have to deal with another disappointing post season, due to the fact the Buds may not even qualify for the playoffs.
There is plenty of parity in the Eastern Conference and a win streak could propel the Leafs into a playoff push. However, the run way continues to get smaller, and the........
