The Carolina Hurricanes are off to a sizzling start in the 2026 NHL post season. Through the first two rounds of the playoffs, the Canes are undefeated with a perfect 8 and 0 record, outscoring their opposition by a total score of 24-10. 

The Hurricanes made quick work of the Ottawa Senators in round one with a series sweep. They hit the repeat button in round two, with another sweep eliminating Peterborough natives Porter Martone, Owen Tippett and their Philadelphia Flyers teammates from post season contention. 

Things have gone masterfully for head coach Rod Brind’Amour and his players thus far in the NHL’s second season. The Canes are 3 and 0 in three overtime games this spring. They have been lead by the resurgence of veterans Taylor Hall and Frederik Andersen. 

The 34-year-old Hall leads the team in playoff scoring with a career high 12 points in eight games. Andersen has been spectacular notching eight victories,........
