Little Lakers Night raised more than $19,000 for Five Counties

The recent Little Lakers Night, that saw the Peterborough Lakers lacrosse team play the Oakville Rock, raised more than $19,000 in support of Five Counties Children’s Centre’s Building Abilities for Life campaign.

The campaign raises funds to help more kids and youth in the region access life-changing treatment services at the centre when they need them.

“What an incredible night for Five Counties kids, Lakers fans and our entire community,” said Scott Pepin, CEO, Five Counties Children’s Centre.

“Raising more than $19,000 is a remarkable result, and every dollar will help children and youth access the life-changing treatment services they need. We are deeply grateful to the Peterborough Lakers, our sponsors, volunteers, donors and everyone who came out to make Little Lakers Night such a memorable success.”

This 4th annual Little Lakers Night, held July 16, featured pre-game festivities, face painting by donation, games, a Pass the Bucket fundraiser, Ball Toss for a Cause, a silent auction and the debut of the Lakers Jersey Auction, with proceeds supporting Five........
