Generous community showers gifts on Fairhaven residents during holiday season

Each year generous community groups and individuals come together to make the holiday season special for Fairhaven residents.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of the community, every Fairhaven resident received gifts and a stocking this past Christmas.

“This year we would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the following groups for their kindness and support: Santa for Peterborough Seniors and Jay Lough Hayes, Peterborough Transit Workers Union, St. Peters-In-Chains Cathedral, Emmanuel Alliance United Church Women, Peterborough Legion, Fairhaven staff, family and friends,” said Jennifer Baro, executive assistant, Fairhaven.

“Your thoughtfulness brought joy and warmth to so many hearts and we are truly grateful.”

Heartfelt thanks are also extended to the local Pathfinders Group, Trent University students, and students at St. Peter Catholic Secondary School and Edmison Heights Public School for donating homemade Christmas cards for all the residents.
