Visit of Saudi Defense Minister

The Defense Minister of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Khalid Bin Salman attended the Tri-Services Pakistan Day Parade as Guest of Honour. He was especially invited by Chief of Army Staff, General AsimMunir to be the Guest of Honour on the Pak Day Parade. Prince Khalid Bin Salman was later honored with Pakistan’s highest civilian award, Nishan-i-Pakistan by President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari. Saudi Defense Minister had separate meetings with President, Prime Minister and Army Chief during his visit to Pakistan. During these meetings, both sides discussed the bilateral relationship between Pakistan and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Besides, regional and global issues were also discussed where both countries have commonality of interests. Indeed, Pakistan-Saudi relationship is based on solid foundation of spiritualism and Islamic philosophy with people centric approach hence; steadfast, resolute and deep-rooted. The state to state relationship developed from the solid basis of divine connections and people centric bondage.

Pakistan-Saudi relationship is unique in the world with no parallel elsewhere. Both brotherly Muslim countries support each other on regional and global issues. On the issue of Jammu and Kashmir, Saudi Arabia has always supported Pakistani point of view for the resolution of the dispute as per UN Resolutions for the grant of right of self-determination to Kashmiris.
