There’s an argument to be made that the Edmonton Oilers should never take off their new cream-coloured alternate jerseys.
They should wear them in the rink, wear them in the gym, and wear them at the grocery store.
Because never mind there being something in the water in Edmonton: there’s something in those jerseys.
The team has worn them three times so far this season, and the Oilers have three wins. They beat the Utah Mammoth 6-3 on Oct. 28th, the Seattle Kraken 9-4 on Thursday and the Winnipeg Jets 6-2 on Saturday night.
They’ve outscored the opposition a staggering 21-9 in those games in all situations, and 15-7 at five-on-five, controlling an impressive 68.2 percent of the goal share. Other team level statistics are impressive,........
