A look at every player who has helped Oilers’ Leon Draisaitl reach 1,000 points

Leon Draisaitl’s done it, scoring his 1,000th point on Tuesday night against the Pittsburgh Penguins, becoming the fifth player in Edmonton Oilers history to hit the century mark with the club.

Hitting the mark took him a year longer than Connor McDavid, who hit the mark in Nov. 2024 on a goal set up by Draisaitl. It was only fitting that McDavid would be involved in Draisaitl’s 1,000th, as the pair got assists on a first-period Zach Hyman goal.

Draisaitl’s first point came on October 15th, 2014, when, in his fourth game, he set up Mark Fayne for a first-period goal against the Arizona Coyotes. That assist for Fayne’s goal would be the only time the two connected on a goal, and it would take another 4,080 days for Draisaitl to score 999 more.

But across those 4,080 days, Draisaitl has been the model........
