Serial shoplifter stole Lego sets worth hundreds from toy stores |
Shaun Yaxley, 49, walked off with a Lego Technic Lamborghini and other sets valued at £620 from Smyths Toys and Lego worth £125 from TG Jones on Gentleman’s Walk in Norwich.

The 49-year-old, of Shorncliffe Avenue in Norwich, pleaded guilty to six shop thefts between November 2025 and February 2026.
Norwich Magistrates’ Court heard he had also walked off without paying for Boss clothing worth £809 and Mont Blanc perfume priced £77 from Frasers in Chantry Place shopping centre, and jeans worth £129 from John Lewis.
He was sentenced to a 12 month community order with requirements.

Magistrates also ordered he pay compensation totalling £521 after hearing some of the thefts had been carried out with other offenders.
Rachel Buck, mitigating, said: “Drug addiction is the root cause behind his behaviour. He was also in some financial difficulties at the time with significant debts.”
His offending dates back more than 20 years including stealing from friends and relatives.
