Pensioner dies after waiting FIVE HOURS for ambulance following 999 call
Edna Wiggett fell inside her property on September 19 last year and an ambulance was called at 11.42pm after she was discovered there.
However, despite emergency services being told the 85-year-old's condition was deteriorating, paramedics did not arrive until 4.51am the following day.
Now an investigation by a coroner has deemed that the prolonged time she spent waiting for help contributed to her death.

Assistant coroner Robin Weyell has issued a formal warning to the East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust (EEAST).
He concluded the delay materially worsened the outcome for Mrs Wiggett, who later died at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital (N&N) following surgery for a fractured hip.
“The long wait she had lying on the floor waiting for an ambulance before her admission more than minimally contributed to her death," he said.
He has now issued a prevention of future death report to the ambulance trust warning there is a risk........
