Brave mum who witnessed doorstep stabbing calls for help to give daughter better life

Now, reeling from the terrifying ordeal, Rianna Collins says she no longer feels safe in the Mile Cross area she lives in.

What began as a quiet day in February 2020, soon escalated into chaos when the 31-year-old heard screaming and shouting in the street shortly before 3pm.

After rushing to her window to see what was happening, she saw a young man – who had been walking his dog – being attacked by a group outside Aylmer Tower on Lefroy Road.

She immediately rushed to his aid and helped the teen into her home where she began to apply pressure to the wound while waiting for an ambulance.

It was later confirmed that he had been stabbed with a knife and had suffered a punctured lung as well as wounds to his arm and thigh.
