Road to close for 14 weeks for project costing £165,000

Beginning on April 7, the works will close part of Woodland Road in Hellesdon so teams can remove the existing damaged pavement surface and replace it with a new asphalt surface.

The closure will be between the junctions of Plantation Road and Bernham Road, continuing northeast around the bend and including a small residential close.

From June 19 until July 8, the junction between Bernham Road and Woodland Road will be temporarily closed in order for the work to be completed safely.

Damaged kerbs will be replaced with new ones during this period.

The pedestrian alleyway at the Woodland Road endpoint, linking to Bernham Road, will be temporarily closed while pavement reconstruction is undertaken at its entrance.

Throughout the construction period, access will only be allowed for people who live in the area, emergency services and Woodland Care Home.

The work will be carried out by Norfolk County Council’s infrastructure department and its contractors.
