Eight fire crews battling blaze on grounds of holiday let with hot tub

The fire broke out at a property in Mill Road, Brooke, at about 12.20pm on Thursday (April 16).

It is understood that the building on fire is on the site of Fox Lodge, a holiday let owned by Gary Mitchell.

An advertisement on StayUK.com describes the one-bedroom apartment as an "ultra annex" where guests "can enjoy some wine or champagne and chocolates or cookies".

In one photo, the annex is illuminated by red mood lighting.

Thick black smoke has filled the air to the point that a drone currently sweeping the site is no longer visible from the ground.

Scott Norman, Deputy Chief Fire Officer for Norfolk Fire & Rescue Service, said: "We've mobilised eight appliances, and we are working with Suffolk colleagues as well as other blue light support.

"We have an aerial level platform, a drone, and a command centre in operation. There are no injures and crews are continuing to work extremely hard to extinguish the incident."
