Fly-tippers dump nearly a tonne of waste on private car park

The incident happened outside homes at Thorpe Park in Norwich on Thursday evening.

The dumped waste was found by David Plummer when he returned home to find the car park at his home covered in material that had been brazenly "fly-tipped".

My Plummer said: " It was blocking in at least three vehicles and one of the entrances to the car park.

"It is appalling that someone could do this in broad daylight/early evening."

Police and Norfolk County Council are aware of the situation, but have not been able to resolve it due to it being on private property.

The waste was collected on Friday morning, after Mr Plummers' neighbours managed to get hold of the chairman of the Trustees/Management team.

The management team arranged for their own staff to come out and clear it away, which Mr Plummer says they have done "magnificently".

"Of course, this has been a cost to them", Mr Plummer added.
