Disruption expected as city crossing gets £45,000 upgrade |
The work will begin in Daniels Road, near Newmarket Road, in Norwich on Saturday, April 11.
The existing lights at the toucan crossing will be removed and replaced with modern, more efficient equipment.
This will ensure the system continues to meet current safety standards.
A temporary crossing will be in place while the permanent lights are switched off to maintain safe access for pedestrians and cyclists.
The work will be carried out by Norfolk County Council's infrastructure department.
A spokeswoman thanked people for their patience, adding that the upgrades would help improve the reliability and efficiency of crossings across Norwich and beyond.
