Furious café owner fears 14 months of roadworks will destroy business
Brendan Gray says his café Station Bistro, in Wymondham, is struggling to survive after losing out on hundreds of pounds from cancelled table bookings due to customers thinking it is shut.

The coffee shop's passing trade plummeted in March 2025 after Norfolk County Council decided to shut Station Approach, the main road used to access the site.
It is understood Taylor Wimpey, a housing developer working on a project nearby, is creating an underpass beneath the railway line for pedestrians to access the town centre.

But now the closure, which was due to be lifted in January, has been extended by an extra six months, leaving the business at breaking point.
"My frustration is with how long the project has been allowed to overrun by the council," he said.
