Monty Python star coming to Norwich for exclusive event |
Sir Michael Palin will take part in an event at the University of East Anglia (UEA) to celebrate the launch of his major new Channel 5 documentary and accompanying book, titled In Nigeria.
He will be joined in conversation with Nina Nannar, ITV's arts editor, on May 28, with an intimate book signing scheduled for afterwards.

"This special event dives into his latest book: a vivid, gripping journal of his journey across Nigeria, written as he approached his 80th birthday and decided he wasn’t quite ready to 'take it easy' after all," said a spokesman for Norfolk Screen, which is organising the event alongside the UEA.
The book explores the chaotic energy of Lagos, to the quiet, hyper‑modern streets of Abuja.
On his journey, Palin meets emirs, preachers, kidnap survivors and everyday citizens whose stories illuminate the beauty, complexity, and contradictions of Africa’s most populous country.
The event runs from 6.30pm in Lecture Theatre 1, with tickets costing £15 for general admission.
