With the weather warming up, what is better than enjoying great fish and chips with a cracking view?
Here are some of the top spots to enjoy your deep-fried goodies as the sun sets.
1. French's Fish Shop

French's Fish Shop has stood in The Quay in Wells-next-the-Sea for 100 years and is run by Alanna French, who is the current shop manager and the fourth generation of the French family to run the chippy.
While the fish and chips are worth a journey to the north Norfolk coast themselves, many take their food to go and enjoy while looking out over the quay.
2. Eric's Fish and Chips

Visitors to Eric's at Drove Orchards can tuck into award-winning fish and chips in the heart of the working apple orchard.
Eric Snaith opened the fish and chip restaurant in Thornham on the north Norfolk coast in 2015 with the idea of putting a spin on the traditional meal, which has been extremely popular with tourists and locals.
3. Grosvenor Fish Bar

While Norwich is full of fantastic chippies to tuck into on a Friday night, few come with as nice a view as Grosvenor Fish Bar in the Norwich Lanes.
On a warmer evening, grabbing a takeaway to enjoy in the suntrap of St Gregory's Green is a great way to see out the week.
Those looking to try something a little different will be in luck, as alongside the standard fish and chip offering are wraps, sandwiches, burgers and some more unusual seafood meals.

After 13 years on the north Norfolk coast, the restaurant continues to serve signature classics, including cod, haddock and plaice, as well as a new menu upstairs focused on "seasonal ingredients, bold flavours and a strong emphasis on seafood".
You don't have to leave the restaurant to enjoy the views, though many might choose to tuck into a takeaway on one of the many benches along the seawall.
Instead, sea views come as part of the indoor dining experience too, which caters to all tastes and budgets.
5. Grey's Traditional Fish and Chips

Grey's Traditional Fish and Chips is a popular spot in the heart of the Broads, offering both takeaway and sit-in dining options.
It is located as you cross the river bridge from Wroxham into Hoveton and has an outside seating area next to the river.
Grey's did suffer a fire at the end of 2025, but should be reopening very soon.
6. Fair Green Fish Bar

Fair Green Fish Bar in Diss attracts customers from all of the surrounding villages with its award-winning fried food.
The green is the perfect place for a quiet picnic as the evenings grow longer, and those hoping to enjoy a drink with their meal should pop to the nearby Cock Inn for a pint.
7. Elliot's Fish and Chips

Elliot's Fish and Chips, a much-loved spot to get the traditional seaside dish, is back in Hunstanton after it had to close for four weeks.
Due to Hunstanton’s promenade sink hole, the kiosk has also been temporarily relocated and can now be found at its usual winter spot next to Oasis Swimming Pool and GG's Treasures.
The business boasts views over the west Norfolk coast, making it the perfect spot to tuck into fish and chips and watch the sunset.
