Widow denied residential care rang relative 360 times in one day before fatal fall

An inquest at Norfolk Coroner’s Court heard that Eileen Tipple, of Woodland View in Stratton Strawless, near Norwich, died on May 1 from complications following a fall at home earlier that month.

The 89-year-old widow, described as being in frail health, had been receiving increasing levels of support in her own home.

Her care package increased to 24-hour care from April 3, but a request for residential placement was refused by the Norfolk Escalation Avoidance Team (NEAT).
