Energy giant Shell first proposed to demolish the buildings that were at the Brundall Service Station on Yarmouth Road in 2022 but withdrew the plans after concerns were raised by National Highways.

The current form is a revision of those proposals which were resubmitted in 2023 with approval for them granted in February the following year.
