Man's hopes for an extended garden quashed by planning inspectorate

Clive Want, who lives in Costessey, turned to the planning inspectorate in September hoping the government body would overturn the council's decision prohibiting him from changing the use of the land.

But the inspectorate has ruled in favour of the council, saying his plans would "conflict with the development plan" near the River Tud and has dismissed his case.
