Couple only half victorious in planning battle with council over home extension

The planning inspectorate has ruled Justin and Jill Taylor can only carry out work to build a detached garage at their home in Thorpe End, a village just outside the city.

But they cannot go ahead with plans to build a two-storey side extension on the other side of their property.
