According to a sign in Aroma's windows, "change is coming" at the location on Upper King Street.

It is not yet known how long the cafe will be shut for while the revamp is under way, but in the meantime customers are being directed to the Courtyard Cafe in Wrights Court.

The cafe near Tombland came under the team of Elm Hill's Courtyard Cafe towards the end of last year.

At the time of the management's change, Tina Smart, who now runs both sites, said she had big plans to freshen up Aroma for a relaunch.

The transition was a "gentle" one after former management, siblings Mercedes and Tom Hood, left Aroma at the end of November.

They had run the coffee shop for 10 years together.

The business was listed for sale on Right Biz in April with a leasehold price of £40,000, plus an annual rent of £15,000.
