Probe into alleged fraud at County Hall has been running for a DECADE (and counting)
The probe, which is linked to the management of farmland owned by the authority, has already seen two people arrested, almost five years ago.
But police are not able to give any indication if anyone will ever face charges or when what they call their "very complex investigation" might end.
They have also declined to say how many officers are working on the case or how much is has cost so far.
The former county councillor who first raised concerns about the alleged fraud, in 2015, has called for an explanation over why the probe is taking so long.
Jonathon Childs, who represented East Flegg at that time, said: "I raised serious concerns about the way the council was running the farms estate almost 10 years ago and auditors were brought in. Their report was damning about some of the council's procedures."

Mr Childs, now the landlord of the Garden House pub in Norwich's Golden Triangle, said: "The police then started the fraud investigation but it seems remarkable that, all these years later, this is still going on."
Mr Childs had triggered the investigation by passing on complaints about the way decisions had been made over who the council - which owns 16,000........
