Norwich Aviation Centre, based at the city’s airport, says the funding from Star Asset Finance Group will enable it to expand its training operations and support more students.

Rob Clarke, founder of Norwich Aviation Centre, said: “We’re committed to growing aviation training opportunities in East Anglia and helping more people pursue aviation careers.

“Adding these aircraft gives us greater flexibility in our training schedule and helps us continue developing our training programmes.”

The centre plans to introduce commercial aviation training later this year, allowing students to progress from private pilot training through to professional aviation pathways.

Norwich Aviation Centre offers a range of services, from pilot training and lessons to private aircraft hire, flight experiences and courses designed to help nervous flyers.

Steve Swift, CEO of Star Asset Finance Group, said smaller aviation operators remain a critical part of the industry’s infrastructure.

“When people think about aviation growth, they often think about airlines or airports,” he said.

“But the sector relies on a much broader ecosystem of businesses, including training providers, engineering firms and specialist operators.

“Regional aviation centres are a vital part of that infrastructure because they help develop the skills and expertise the industry depends on.”

Star Asset Finance Group provides specialist asset finance solutions to UK businesses across sectors, including aviation, engineering, manufacturing and transport.

“Aircraft and aviation equipment represent significant capital investments, particularly for smaller operators and training providers,” Mr Swift added.

“Access to well-structured finance allows aviation businesses to grow in a sustainable way while continuing to invest in new capability.

“The aviation industry depends on a network of businesses operating beyond the largest airports and airline hubs. Supporting those businesses ensures the sector can continue developing skills, capacity and operational resilience across the country.”
