Trump Needs To Flip the Script if He Wants To Win | Opinion

As energized Democrats united around Vice President Kamala Harris since Joe Biden withdrew from his reelection bid and endorsed her, the new presumptive Democratic nominee has tried to make the 2024 election a referendum on her opponent, former and perhaps future president Donald J. Trump.

So far, Harris has succeeded brilliantly. "We are not going back," she proclaimed at a recent sorority meeting. This gave her delirious supporters a strong campaign slogan that can almost make one forget that she and Biden—not Trump—have been in office for the past three and a half years. But the two Democrats should have to answer for their lackluster incumbency, as Biden was so desperately struggling to do in the waning months of his campaign.

Harris' compliant allies in the media and government have done their Orwellian best to suppress her dismal tenure as Biden's vice president, radical Left voting record in the Senate, and checkered past as a California attorney general. They have also hailed the mentally incompetent and electorally imperiled Biden—who curiously remains in office for no reason any Democrat has yet explained—as a "selfless" and "patriotic" statesman rather than the lousy president and doomed reelection........
