Bombay High Court removes stay on 'Saat Samundar Paar'; song to remain in 'Tu Meri Main Tera' |
Mumbai: Bombay High Court, on Tuesday, removed the stay on ‘Saat Samunda Paar’, allowing it to be a part of the upcoming movie ‘Tu Meri Main Tera’. The court refused to grant an interim relief to Trimurti Films Pvt. Ltd in the copyright battle against Dharma Productions, Saregama India, and rapper Badshah.
Trimurti Films, the producer of the 1992 film ‘Vishwatma’, claimed it owned the copyright of the song ‘Saat Samunda Paar’, including its tune, lyrics and musical composition. The producer also claimed that the 1990 agreement with Saregama’s predecessor only gave limited........
