Radha Yadav fires India A into Womenโs Rising Stars Asia Cup final
Captain Radha Yadav's all-round effort helped India A beat Sri Lanka by five wickets in the Rising Stars T20 Asia Cup semifinal in Bangkok, Thailand.
New Delhi: Skipper Radha Yadav led from the front with an inspirational all-round effort to propel India A into the final of the Womenโs Rising Stars T20 Asia Cup with a five-wicket victory over Sri Lanka A in Bangkok, Thailand, on Friday.
Sri Lankaโs decision to bat first backfired dramatically as the Indian bowlers tore apart the batting line-up to bundle the opposition out for a paltry 118 in 19.4 overs. Radha was the pick of the bowlers with superb figures of 4 for 19. The left-arm spinner looked in great rhythm, spinning a web around the Sri Lankan batters.
Left-arm spinner Tanuja Kanwar (2/20) and leg-spinner Prema Rawat (2/9) emerged as able supporters for Radha as a collective bowling effort from the Women In Blue blew Sri Lanka away.

For Sri Lanka, opener batter Sanjana Kavindi (31 runs off 35 balls) was the biggest contributor to the teamโs total.
The Lankans, placed at 71 for two in the 10th over, blew away a great chance to post a good total.
Indian spinners put on a chokehold on Sri Lanka
As soon as the Indian spinners came into the attack, Sri Lanka lost all the momentum, losing the remaining eight wickets for 47 runs in a little over nine overs.
The 36-run opening partnership between Kavindi and Hansima Karunaratne (14) was the lone bright spot in the innings.
It was a straightforward chase for India, besides a small hiccup during a phase where they lost three wickets for 21 runs, including that of top-scorer Vrinda Dinesh (42).
But Radha translated her bowling form to batting, making an unbeaten 31 off 18 balls with seven fours as India cruised past the target in 13.3 overs.
In the final, India will face the winner of the semifinal between Bangladesh and Pakistan.
Sri Lanka A Women: 118 all out in 19.4 overs (Sanjana Kavindi 31; Radha Yadav 4/19, Prema Rawat 2/9, Tanuja Kanwar 2/20)
India A Women: 119/5 in 13.3 overs (Vrinda Dinesh 42, Radha Yadav 31 not out; Shashini Gimhani 2/33) by 5 wickets.
