New Delhi: At least 10 people, mostly women and children, were killed and several others injured after a stampede broke out at Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Kashibugga in Andhra Pradesh’s Srikakulam district on Saturday. The tragic incident took place this morning when thousands of devotees gathered at the Venkateswara temple on the auspicious occasion of Ekadashi. The injured people have been rushed to nearby hospitals.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi condoled the loss of lives and called the incident “extremely heartbreaking”. He announced ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh through PM NR Fund to the relatives of those who lost their lives, and........
