New Delhi: In India’s record 93-run wallop of Namibia on Thursday, it became amply clear why Ishan Kishan has edged out Sanju Samson at the first-choice opener in the T20 World Cup.
Both are free-flowing hitters, unafraid to to go over the top from the very first ball they face, but while Kishan has maintained an impressive level of consistency since the New Zealand series, Samson has flattered to deceive.
Kishan continued his happy hunting with 24-ball-61 while Samson, matched him in strokemaking but only for a brief period as he perished for 22 off eight balls.
