New Delhi: As Delhi prepares for New Year celebrations, police intensified security measures across the national capital, launching a large-scale overnight operation aimed at preventing crime during the festive rush. The drive resulted in hundreds of arrests, seizures of illegal weapons and drugs and the recovery of stolen property.

The crackdown, named Operation Aaghat 3.0, was conducted by the South East Delhi Police and involved coordinated raids, surprise checks and patrols in crime-prone areas. The operation focused on curbing organised crime, street-level offences and the activities of repeat offenders ahead of the year-end celebrations.
