New Delhi: Hartalika Teej is similar to Karwa Chauth as both festivals are dedicated to the bonding of married couples. It is the third and the last of the three Teej festivals that women from different parts of North Indian states like Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan celebrate in the Hindu months of Shravan and Bhadrapada. This year, Hartlaika Teej will be observed on September 14, The day on which Ganesh Chaturthi begins.
