Chennai: A Division Bench of the Madras High Court on Tuesday set aside a single judge’s order that had directed the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to issue a ‘UA’ certificate to actor-politician Vijay’s film Jana Nayagan. The bench, comprising Chief Justice M.M. Srivatsava and Justice G. Arulmurugan, allowed the appeal filed by the CBFC and remanded the case back to the single judge for a fresh hearing, dealing a setback to the film’s immediate release prospects.
