'Accept three-language policy or lose funds': Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to Tamil Nadu
Chennai: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has explicitly declared that the Centre will withhold the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) funds unless the Tamil Nadu government implements the three-language policy outlined in the National Education Policy (NEP). The minister accused the state’s ruling DMK party of politicizing the issue at the cost of students’ welfare.
The announcement was made following an event at IIT Madras, where Pradhan addressed reporters and reiterated a position he has maintained for two years.
