Heavy rains hit Northeast India, floods in Manipur damage 3,000 houses

Guwahati: Heavy rains in northeast India, in states like Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Manipur have thrown life out of gear. Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Kiren Rijiju tweeted a video of a man crossing a bridge in Anjaw district, Arunachal Pradesh, above a swelled water body. The Minister asked the man to be careful and said that the government will provide all necessary support to rain-hit Arunachal Pradesh.

The Minister wrote on social media platform, ‘X’, “Arunachal Pradesh receives heaviest Monsoon rains in the world. Got this video of a man crossing traditional hanging bridge in Anjaw district, Arunachal Pradesh near tri-junction of India, China & Myanmar border. Please remain careful & safe. Govt will provide necessary support.”
