New Delhi: One of the biggest stars in women’s football, Aitana Bonmati, is set for a long spell on the sidelines after suffering a broken leg during a training session with the Spanish national team. The Barcelona and Spain midfielder fell awkwardly on Sunday while preparing for the second leg of the Women’s Nations League final against Germany in Madrid.
The 27-year-old underwent surgery soon after the injury and Barcelona have confirmed that her recovery period is expected to be around five months.........
