Stock Market: Sensex and Nifty jump; FIIs showing confidence |
Mumbai: The BSE Sensex jumped 566.96 points to finish at 84,778.84 on October 27, 2025, Monday. Intraday, it surged 720.2 points to 84,932.08. The NSE Nifty declined 170.90 points to end at 25,966.05. The benchmark indices rebounded as a sharp rally was recorded in international markets, as softer-than-expected US inflation report has reignited hopes of US Federal Reserve rate cuts.
Prospects of a US–China trade deal and fresh foreign fund inflows also added to the markets’ optimism. Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) pumped in Rs 621.51 crore to buy equities.
