Mumbai: Shahid Kapoor may not rack up blockbusters by the dozen, but his body of work includes several critically-acclaimed performances and notable solo hits such as Kabir Singh and R… Rajkumar. His most recent release, Tere Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya has also managed to emerge as a decent box-office success.

Now, the actor is gearing up for his fourth collaboration with filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj. Titled O’ Romeo, the film is slated for a Valentine’s Day release, and Shahid believes it has the potential to connect with a wider audience.

Speaking about his decision to do the film, Shahid said, “I had only one thought ‒ I didn’t want to do a film that was too experimental and catered only to a niche audience. I wanted to do something that could reach a wider audience. I strongly felt that this film had that factor that it could be accessed by everyone. It’s a love story set against a gangster backdrop in the 1990s, which really excited me.”
