New Delhi: In another Indian Premier League (IPL) auction, franchises broke their banks to secure their preferred targets. Teams spent Rs 215.45 crore in the IPL 2026 mini-auction as 77 players found a home for the next season of the biggest cricket league in the world.

Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings were the two busiest teams in the auction, as KKR signed the top two most expensive players of this season’s auction, whereas CSK targeted two uncapped players and made them the most expensive uncapped stars in IPL history.

Cameron Green (Rs 25.20 crore)

Cameron Green was the star of the night as KKR stole the Australian all-rounder for Rs 25.20 crore. He became the most expensive overseas player in IPL history as he surpassed Mitchell Starc’s Rs 24.75 crore in the IPL 2024 auction. Interestingly, the previous highest bid was held by KKR.
