Chinese scientists discover two new Moon minerals
Chinese scientists have announced the discovery of two new lunar minerals. The minerals were discovered in the samples returned by the Chang'e 5 mission.
New Delhi: Chinese scientists have discovered two new lunar minerals in samples retrieved by China’s Chang’e 5 mission, which delivered the samples to Inner Mongolia in June 2024. The China National Space Administration (CNSA) made the announcement the capital of Sichuan province, Chengdu. The two minerals have been reviewed and approved by the Commission on New Minerals, Nomenclature and Classification by the International Mineralogical Association, the governing the identification of new minerals.........
