Asus 100w GaN charger review |
New Delhi: The 65w GaN charger by Asus is one of the most useful things that I own. It has two USB-C ports, and I use it to juice up both my laptop and my smartphone, and office and home. So when the opportunity came to review the 100w GaN charger, I was genuinely excited to check it out. The 100w GaN charger is just a little larger than the 65w version. It features a pair of USB-C ports and a USB-A port. When all three ports are used, the primary USB-C ports delivers 65w output, while the other two provide 15w each, which is sufficient for juicing up smartphones or a power bank.

Now the charger is small enough to fit through standard cable grommets, but it is a tight fit. The charger manages to be so compact because of the use of gallium-nitride (GaN) which is a high-grade semiconductor that produces very little heat, allowing for the internal components to be packed in tightly.
