New Delhi: Agnikul Cosmos has conducted a comprehensive, end-to-end test of the avionics system executed in realtime of its Agnibaan two-stage-to-orbit (TSTO) launch vehicle. The sensors, flight computers, actuators, guidance, navigation, control, telemetry and command interfaces all were used to simulate an actual flight. Such simulations run at the same speed as real-world events, ensuring that time critical operations behave realistically. The full-chain simulated encompassed the entire avionics ‘chain’ including GPS, IMUs, barometers, the processing by flight computers and software, as well as the output for valves or gimbals, with telemetry to ground stations.
