2025: The turning point in India’s technological self-determination

New Delhi: The year 2025 emerged as a watershed moment in India’s scientific and technological evolution, marking a clear shift from technology adoption to technology leadership. Across artificial intelligence, semiconductors, space, nuclear energy and critical minerals, India demonstrated growing confidence in shaping its own technological future, closely aligned with the long-term vision of Viksit Bharat@2047.

A major pillar of this transformation was artificial intelligence. Under the India AI Mission, the government committed over Rs 10,000 crore to build ethical and inclusive AI systems.
