The Issue: Mayor Mamdani’s support for the protesters at the riot outside Park East Synagogue.
Your article on the anti-Israeli mob attacking police officers at Park East Synagogue is both scary and a sign of things to come in New York (“Zoh ♥ Synagogue Riots,” Editorial, May 7).
Mayor Mamdani said nothing about how openly anti-semitic young Democrats — who support Hamas and hate Israel — caused a riot.
It amazes me that New Yorkers voted for this. But I’ve known many Holocaust survivors, who all warned me this could happen again.
The mayor will never talk out strongly against the protesters who are so anti-Israel. They are just following his lead and feel the same way that he does toward Israel.
