The Issue: Cold weather killing 10 New Yorkers after Mayor Mamdani ended encampment sweeps.
This is the first of what will be many such incidents with Mayor Mamdani (“Suffering on City Hall’s doorstep,” Jan. 30).
He has no executive experience. He’s never been on the field, as the recent deaths of homeless individuals show.
His aversion to law enforcement will certainly lead to more of these deaths, despite the presence of NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch, who I believe is a Godsend.

So, Mamdani will allow the homeless of New York City to freeze to death rather than force them indoors for their safety. Isn’t he the one who talked about the warmth of collectivism? Isn’t he the one who accuses the rich of being heartless?
His hypocrisy would be comical if it wasn’t so deadly.
