During the recent World Economic Forum Annual meeting, numerous countries signed the charter for Trump’s Board of Peace, deciding the future of Palestinians without their consultation.

A Peace Board Without the People of Gaza

US President Donald Trump announced the charter of the Board of Peace, which he stated is the second phase of his 20-point Gaza Peace Plan. According to President Trump, the Board of Peace will oversee the redevelopment and reconstruction of the Gaza enclave. The membership of this board has a three-year cycle, after which it must be renewed. A permanent membership on the board could be obtained only by paying $1 billion to the United States. All the member states have praised this so-called Board of Peace. The United Nations also passed a resolution to support President Trump’s 20-point Gaza Peace Plan. However, the formal announcement of the Board of Peace’s charter has revealed that President Trump seeks to build a parallel system to the United Nations Organization.
