The insidious framing that the Gracie Mansion attack was about Islamophobia against Mayor Zohran Mamdani rather than about young jihadists who nearly detonated bombs into a crowd of protesters started with the mayor himself — the man charged with leading the city where 9/11 happened. The media have been taking their cues from the top, insinuating that the radical Islamic terrorists were motivated by bigotry against the religion rather than the religion itself. It’s beyond parody.
