Prime Minister Mark Carney finally has a majority in the House of Commons after a year in office, and his government is gearing up to move even faster “building Canada strong for all.”
Carney has repeatedly hammered home his desire to build at a pace and scale never seen before. His government has pushed through legislation like Bill C-5 that grants federal ministers sweeping powers to override most environmental laws in order to build major projects. And with this newfound majority the government will have even more tools at its disposal.
