What’s the deal with all the dirty feet in Tarantino's Once Upon A Time In Hollywood?

It’s been well over a week or so now since Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time In Hollywood his cinemas (in the UK, anyway) but there is still one lingering thought on my mind: yo, bozo, why the abundance of feet?

I’m all for artistic license and doing with it what you will, but two weeks after the glittering scenes of Hollywood’s yesteryear barked up on screen in a London cinema for me, I still have no idea why there are so many gratuitous scenes of feet.

And dirty feet, at that.

Once Upon A Time In Hollywood there were no showers?

Now, I’ll have you know I’m a big fan of Tarantino’s latest flick. In fact, you can read all about that here if you’ve made it this far down the page. But I’m just not getting the whole foot thing.

It irked me when Margaret Qualley’s Pussycat put her smelly trotters onto Brad Pitt’s windscreen and it really, really bothered me when Margot Robbie perched her own, fresh from knee-high, probably-polyester sweat boots, on the back of a movie theatre seat.
