Curtis Pritchard's sexuality is not up for debate

Since Curtis Pritchard entered the Love Island villa there’s been an overriding conversation surrounding his sexuality and whispers, that should have been left in school playgrounds of the noughties, continue to rumble on social media.

Days after coming out of Love Island, in which he entered as somewhat of a regular citizen like you or I, Curtis faced demands to clear up his sexual preference, despite being in a relationship with fellow islander Maura Higgins. Rather than puffing his chest, the 23-year-old who still has decades to explore his identity, quite maturely, refused to define himself.

That’s in no way suggesting he’s bisexual, it’s quite the opposite.

‘I’ve been with women and I’m with a woman now,’ he told The Sun. ‘You can never put a label on anything.’

‘It’s a cliche to say, but love is blind. I can never ever say what will happen in the future… I wouldn’t rule anything out.’

He later appeared on Lorraine where once again he was urged to clarify his comments, defending his relationship status. And then today, Good Morning Britain presenters Kate Garraway and Adil Ray piled on pressure for Curtis to come out as bisexual, despite never once implying he has ever dated a man or intends to.
